BuilderCalculator is a free material planning workbench for small construction and renovation projects. Measure one room, check physical quantities, then add your product’s packaging to create a shopping estimate.

What we build

The English edition includes 15 calculators: units, room geometry, concrete, paint, tile, flooring, drywall, brick and block, gravel and soil, board foot, deck boards, material allowance, stairs, ramps and roofing. Single-room Project Lite reuses room measurements for paint, floor finishes and optional drywall. Metric and US measurements share one calculation engine. Units, product assumptions and final package rounding remain visible.

How we check calculations

Versioned automated tests cover unit factors, fractions, openings, allowances, packaging and shared state. Worked examples use the same engine as the interactive results. These checks do not constitute professional certification.

Who it helps

Homeowners, DIY renovators, designers and contractors who need a starting material estimate. Product labels, measured site conditions and a competent professional remain the source for final ordering and structural decisions.
